Getting festive with ginger mocktails today! My birthday is this Sunday so I wanted to share a fun drink recipe I’m loving. Perfect for the ginger lover in your life. Sweetened with a refined sugar-free simple syrup using Vitacost’s coconut sugar! You can add more or less ginger to taste. If you want to use white sugar reduce the amount to be 1:1 with the water.
I recommend making the simple syrup a day before to let it intensify overnight. If you leave the ginger pieces in with the syrup instead of straining them it will yield a spicer syrup. So keep that in mind for prolonged storage.
This is a great option for a party or brunch. It’s really refreshing and pairs amazingly with pretty much anything. Plus you get the added benefit of soothing ginger so it’s light on your stomach. Be sure to adjust the syrup to taste and add extra lime juice for a citrus kick!
Let me know if you give this recipe a try. I would love to see your recreations, be sure to leave me a comment if you make any substitutions. Feel free to snap a photo and tag me @PlantPhilosophy on Instagram using the hashtag #PlantPhilosophy so I don’t miss seeing your post.
